To the Macleod Football Netball Club community,

Today the NFNL further suspended the current season until May 31 in line with AFL decisions. All our operations will continue to be guided by peak body policies and national government decisions.

We have started the season in good shape on and off the field but now we must adapt to the new landscape in our society, including work and sport. The months ahead will see us confronting circumstances that will challenge our resilience and capacity.

As a football club with either a restricted, or at worse an abandoned season, we will face issues that will have a knock- on effect for some time. Our best chance is to remain connected and engaged with our playing group, our supporters and sponsors in ways that protect health and set good standards for operating under adversity.

I would like to thank our playing group, committee, supporters and sponsors for their consideration in the circumstances we find ourselves.

We will continue to communicate with you through our normal social media platforms to keep you up to date with any changes to our season.

In the meantime we urge you to follow all the recommended practices to minimise risk and trust you and your family remain safe and healthy.
