As Round one is fast approaching, this is the latest happening around the club.

SOCIAL
Our first social function is a night with leading hypnotist Jimmy D on Saturday, April 7 at Rosanna Bowling Club, starting at 7pm.

Details are in the attached flyer. The show lasts 90 minutes (2 x 45-minute sessions) and Jimmy stresses no one from the audience is chosen…everyone who appears on stage are volunteers (we think Jimmy will have no shortage). There are no personal questions and it’s not a therapy session…it’s pure entertainment. The use of cameras, phones and iPads is encouraged. Check out Jimmy’s work at http://www.hypnoticplayground.com

Please get back to me ASAP with table and/or individual bookings…it’s now less than two weeks away!

MACLEOD JFC REQUIRE U12 & U15 PLAYERS
The junior club is looking for additional under 12 and under 15 players to help fill its numbers. Senior club stalwart Richard Crockford is taking charge of the under 15s this year, so contact Richie if you can assist. His email is richard.crockford@bigpond.com.

The club was thrilled to have its first girls team (under 10s) play a competitive match last Sunday. This team was built from the ground up over the last few months, and the juniors also have a handful of under 14 girls eager to get a team together. See attached flyer.

VALE NEIL SMYTHE
We were saddened to hear of the passing of Neil Smythe earlier this week. Neil was the grandfather of current player Charlie Smythe. His son Andy was assistant coach with the under 19s last year and Andy’s wife Mel is a current committee member.

Neil was a wonderful player for West Heidelberg and later coached Bulleen-Templestowe. We extend our condolences to the Smythe family.
