Round 15 - Teams & latest news

Fri 4th of August at 9:12 am Image

It’s a big day for the club with former Richmond fan favourite Jake King making his debut for Macleod after playing 107 games for the Tigers.

Jake will play his first game since round three, 2014, and is looking forward to lining up alongside family members and mates. Jake comes into the side along with Luke Dowdle. They replace Cathal Corr and Shane Doherty who both pulled up sore after last week’s match.

Jake will also speak at the pre-game ladies lunch which will feature special guest Angry Dad, the internet sensation you might have seen on YouTube. He is former Collingwood player Mark Orval and you can check out his work by Googling ‘Angry Dad’.
The day kicks off at 11.30am for a noon start and there are still seats available. Call Jo McKeown 0449 791 026 to book your spot. Cost is $50 and includes lunch and a welcome drink. Local duet Rust will be playing live music after the game. Special thanks to Milestone Chemicals for supporting the day with heaps of great home and beauty products.

Jo Esler has kindly put her hand up to coordinate the purchase of new tables for the club rooms.
The tables fold like a table tennis table, are on castor wheels and will be easy to store. They cost $395 each and if you or your business care to donate you will receive a plaque with your name (or your business name) on the table. It will be a permanent reminder of your support.
If you can assist or you would like more information, call Jo on 0418 458 182 or email her on Get in quick, they are going fast! Also note for businesses, your purchase is tax deductible.
Thanks to the following people/businesses who have purchased a table:
• Insurance Advisernet Australia (Leigh Moulden)
• MBR Tree Care (Michael Rodwell)
• Hurley family
• Lynch family
• TBB Bookkeeping/Picture of Fitness (Manuel/Esler family)
• Anthony Carbines MP (State Member for Ivanhoe)
• Gary Miles/John Ryan/Almaaz Alavi
• Dynamic Fire (Scott Plant)
• Jacques Chaperon
• Viewbank Childcare Centre (Eamon Bourke)

The club has a new coffee provider – North Code Coffee will be serving a range of beverages to satisfy your caffeine craving or you might want to try a treat such as a chocolate brownie. Their coffee cart will be located just inside the social rooms. North Code Coffee is also venturing into the expresso martini business starting next month – a great idea if you know anyone planning a Spring wedding or major function. Contact Nick on 0408 438 447.

A Responsible Serving of Alcohol course is available to Macleod members and supporters.

When: Monday, September 4, 6.30pm sharp.
