2nd Semi Final/Netball Grand Final - Teams & Latest News

Fri 2nd of September at 9:24 am Image

After last week’s big win over Greensborough, we are back at our favourite finals venue to take on Heidelberg in the second semi-final.

--

A win puts us into the Grand Final while a loss means we play in next Sunday’s preliminary final against Greensborough or Bundoora. There are two changes with Jack Langford recalled to Essendon’s VFL side and Nick Lynch has a hamstring injury. Into the side come Joel Kidd and James Condello.

After the game, the social rooms will be open at De Winton Park from 5.30 onwards.

NETBALL GRAND FINAL TONIGHT
The Macleod netball girls are playing Kilmore in the Grand Final at 8.30pm tonight at Parade College. They have met Kilmore on two previous occasions and the score stands at one all. Kilmore are very tough competitors and play a pretty rough style of netball, but our girls are more than up to the challenge. We will be without our gun centre Tayla Harris who did her knee in the preliminary final, but we are confident that the girls will rise to the occasion. If our close checking defenders Lily and Sheena, dynamic centre court combo Erin, Caitlin Tayla and Amanda and powerhouse shooters Annie and Mollie can all get up and about, we will be heading home with the silverware (or at least a medal) for sure!
